WHO IS THE B-SIDE PLAYERS?
The B-Side Players are a 9-piece band part of a new movement in popular music. A band that honors the international
cross-pollination that has always made music the universal language. Since 1994, they have continue exploring the multifaceted grooves of Latin America and the Caribbean, incorporating the sounds of Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico and Brazil with the funk, rock, jazz and hip-hop rhythms of their homeland, while dropping bits of Cumbia, Salsa, gritty street Samba, Son Montuno, Jarocho and Boogaloo into the mix.

The B*Side Players have been laying down their own inimitable latin global funk, effortlessly blending genres to fashion their own forward looking, latin flavored soul music. As an 9 piece band the players are known for igniting crowds with their fierce rhythms and uplifting message of unity and consciousness. Meanwhile always keeping their focus on the political climate of the world and nation. The B-Side Players are a living and breathing cultural art experience for the mind body and soul.

On the the heels of their latest album release "California Brown" due out August 26th, the legendary B-Side Players have teamed up with Afro Baile Records to release a limited edition 7" vinyl single(s). The double sided two titled tracks "All I Want" and "La Vuelta" are a refreshing sound of Latin rhythms done blvd soul style with a West Coast a la Groove that hits you from the first notes. The song "All I Want" from the get go, takes you back to the Curtis Mayfield days of funky deep baselines, while "La Vuelta" brings you back tot he blvd Soul soul with smooth like butter vocal approach by Karloz Paez. The band, sounding tight as ever delivers monster percussive grooves, while the guitar and horns serenade your oral senses.

#musicmonday, we're excited to announce that legendary latin, cumbia, salsa, jazz, funk and soul band from San Diego, the almighty B-Side Players will release their debut 7" Vinyl single(s) on Afro:Baile Records! The new "limited edition" vinyl release will available in our online store, and on tour with the band this fall as they embark on a huge US Tour to support their latest album release. 

The new vinyl release will feature 2 new songs (from their newest album "California Brown"), titled - "ALL I WANT" and "LA VUELTA". The two singles are incredible tunes that trace the latin roots of lower rider culture, blvd grooving, soul jazz and latin rhythms that ooze with a funky bass line.
